Emergency Dentistry

Please contact our team immediately if you need emergency care. OMFSPK is open 364 days a year, seven days a week and has 18 clinics nationwide.

Knocked out tooth?
Make an emergency appointment to see your dentist, the sooner a knocked out tooth is re-implanted the more likely it is to embed itself back into the gum.

In the meantime:
Rinse the tooth in milk, holding it by the crown (avoiding the roots)
If possible put the tooth back into the socket
If you cannot re-implant the tooth hold it between your cheek and gum until you see a dentist or store in a clean container in either milk or your saliva

Broken Tooth?
Any obvious damage to a tooth should be treated as soon as possible. Chips or fractures can affect the living tissue inside the tooth, causing problems in the future. Your dentist can prevent the damage from getting worse.

In the meantime:
Get to your dentist as soon as possible
Apply a cold pack to the cheek or lips over the broken tooth.
Rinse your mouth well with warm water
Store any fragments in a clean container in either milk or your saliva

Toothache?
If you experience a toothache contact us immediately and we will see you as quickly and conveniently as we can.

In the meantime:
Get to your dentist as soon as possible
Rinse the mouth regularly with water
Try to clean any debris from any obvious cavities
Use dental floss to remove any trapped particles of food
If swelling is present, place a cold compress to the outside of the cheek
Take pain relief if necessary
